16 Things Only Guy-Girl Best Friends Can Understand

It can get kind of weird sometimes, but at the end of the day, if it works out, they make amazing friends. Here's to the guys and girls out there who continue to defy the rules, and to my own guy best friend.

1. People probably think you're dating.

2. A main part of your conversations with other people about your best friend probably includes them asking you if you're dating.

3. At parties, you try to set each other up with your friends. Most random people require approval.

4. And you are each other's best wingman/wingwoman.

5. It's an unspoken rule that you are their date if they can't find or think of one on their own.

6. You construct text conversations on their behalf.

7. Half of your conversations have to do with calling each other out on their crap. You two have identified that you can do so because you aren't dating.

8. You probably know a little too much about their ... personal lives.

9. It isn't weird to cuddle, especially when life gets hard.

10. And you definitely pick out his outfits.

11. You find yourself having to weirdly talk about the attractiveness of your same-sex much more often.

12. You have seen each other through breakups and disappointments and as a result, you think the other is pretty wise.

13. A conversation has started and ended with, “Well, you're going to be in my wedding party …" because we just assume our future husband or wife will be down.

14. Sometimes, they say things and you want to hit them.

15. You have seen each other at your absolute best and worst.

16. They can drive you crazier than anyone else in the world, but at the end of the day, you know that they really only have your best interests in mind.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
