The struggle is real.

Anyone with long hair knows the struggle of maintaining it. You look rad, but have to put up with so many literal and figurative headaches, you may sometimes wonder if it's worth it (and if you're like me you've said "forget it," and chopped it all off once or twice before). The struggles of having long hair are real, and anyone with it can relate.

1. Constantly finding hair everywhere.

It's honestly a miracle how there is any hair left on my head with how much falls out and ends up around my house and life. Forget having a dog, just get a friend with long hair and get the same effect of finding hair on all your clothes and belongings.

2. Being too lazy to brush your hair.

If you're going to brush your hair, that's a serious time commitment, and not a task to be taken lightly.

3. Getting that perfect "messy bun" takes way more time and effort than it should.

I thought they were called "messy buns" because you can make them messy and still look cute? But when I do that, it always ends up looking like a small animal made a nest on my head...

4. Resting sunglasses on the top of your head is cool...in theory.

Putting the sunglasses up = easy. Taking them back down = not so easy.

5. Cruising with the windows down is much easier said than done.

Really, how do movie stars do it? And don't even get me started on when it's time to put the window back up and hair gets closed in.

6. Wondering why you even bother to do your hair before going anywhere outside.

Let's just say, the wind is not your friend (especially if you decided to wear lip gloss that day).

7. Trying to follow a cute Pinterest hairstyle tutorial and it not exactly turning out the way it looks in the picture.

Followed all the steps and came out with something that looks like it should be an example of what not to do. Maybe I'll just go to the hair salon after all.

8. Golden rule: cherish your good hair ties, love your good hair ties, keep your good hair ties close.

Good hair ties are few and far between. And when they finally break, it's a great heartbreak.

9. Trapping yourself in your own hair while laying down.

Worst feeling ever is laying down, then going to get up and realizing you're laying on your own hair or somehow have a few strands under your hands. OUCH!

10. Buying a thousand bobby pins, but never having bobby pins.

Never mind the "Secret Life of Pets," I want to know about the "Secret Life of Hair Supplies" and where they all seem to disappear to.

11. Forever feeling like there is a stray hair tickling you.

Is that a strand of hair or a bug on my arm? Worst yet, it's neither and you're just paranoid from all the past loose hairs that have plagued you with annoying itches.

12. Making hairballs in the shower -- or suffering the consequences when it comes time to clean the clogged drain.

It's gross, but you have to do what you've got to do.

13. Getting your hair caught in EVERYTHING.

Zippers, bag straps, seat belts, lids, doors, fans -- you name it, my hair has probably been snagged in it.

14. On the flip side, getting EVERYTHING caught in your hair.

The most common culprits seem to be pens, food, headphones and anything sticky. Who needs a purse when you can hold it all in your hair?

15. Getting an arm workout from doing your hair.

Don't worry about fitting in time for the gym. Just dry, straighten or curl your hair and you're good.

16. Despite all the trouble, you get defensive when someone asks, "Well why don't you just cut it off then?"

Having long hair is a constant love/hate relationship, but no matter how much you complain about how much trouble it is, you secretly love your long hair.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
