Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably
heard that
"Gilmore Girls" is coming
back to Netflix on Nov. 25. The beloved series is coming back for four
90-minute episodes. While that probably won’t be enough to satisfy the
thirst of
"Gilmore" fans around the
world, we couldn’t be more excited. The
series ended in 2007 and we were left with many unanswered questions. While a
Netflix revival of a series is nothing new, this time it’s actually
appropriate. The show will finally get the ending it was supposed to have, with
the show’s original creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino, back in the driver’s seat.
So far, we’ve only been blessed with a short teaser for
"Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life," but it’s clear that we will once
again be able to step back into the town we all know and love. For those who
aren’t familiar with this show and why everyone is so excited about it, you have a few
months to get caught up. In the meantime, here are 16 reasons why people are so excited about the
"Gilmore Girls" revival.
1. We get to see these two lovely ladies together again, having conversations that include new celebrity and pop culture references.
2. We get to revisit this town.
3. Plus everyone else in it, especially Luke.
4. And Sookie.
5. And Michel.
6. And Lane.
7. And her mother, Mrs. Kim.
8. Let's not forget the odd, but lovable characters, like Kirk.
9. And Taylor Doose.
10. OK, so basically we're excited to see everyone who lives in Stars Hollow.
11. Plus the local band, Hep Alien.
12. Another thing that we've been missing: Emily Gilmore's sass.
13. And Paris Geller's dedicated spirit.
14. We're also anxiously awaiting the return of Dean.
15. And Logan.
16. And, most importantly, Jess.
All in all, there's a lot for us "Gilmore Girls" fans to be excited about. However, the show will sadly be missing a key component: Richard Gilmore (beautifully played by Edward Herrmann). While the show won't be the same without him, we still have very high hopes for what's to come. Here's to the love, laughs and memories that the show has blessed us with so far, and to the many more that we'll have on Nov. 25. Let the countdown begin!
