Every new year, everyone sets out for "New Years Resolutions" and tries to be a better person. Here's 15 simple ways to be a better person in 2017
1. Say "hi" more often
You don't have to know the person. But sometimes simply acknowledging someone's presence makes a world of difference.
2. Find one small act of kindness to do each day
It could be buying a friend coffee, it could be handing out candy when everyone is stressed. Look for some way to make someone smile every day.
3. Reach out to people you see struggling
Even if you don't know the person, sometimes a simple "is everything okay" makes a world of difference.
4. Laugh
The world needs more laughter.
5. Try new things
Show up for the first meeting of that club that interests you. You could find a new lifelong passion or meet a new lifelong friend.
6. Do things for yourself
It's important to take care of yourself. Do things because you want to do them, not because you feel like you have to.
7. Be a better daughter/son, friend, etc.
When you improve the relationships in your life, it makes forming new ones so much easier.
8. Take more pictures
I'm not saying be that obnoxious person always taking pictures instead of enjoying the moment. But memories do fade, and it's nice to have a picture to preserve it.
9. Spend more time in nature
There's something about nature that is so relaxing. Enjoy this beautiful world we live in.
10. Change your sheets more frequently
I know it's a pain in the butt. But there's nothing like crawling into bed with freshly cleaned sheets.
11. Make sleep a priority
I know we're all busy. But don't let sleep fall by the wayside, it just makes you grumpier.
12. Love more
Find ways to spread your love with everyone. Someone may need it.
13. Listen to music every day
Even if it's just for five minutes.
14. Remember that life is short
Life really is short, so take the risks and do the things that scare you.
15. Smile more
