One Tree Hill is known for many things-- the epic romance of Haley and Nathan, the bond between two brothers, but for me, the character that stole my heart was that of Brooke Penelope Davis. Portrayed by the beautiful and talented Sophia Bush, she was more than just a pretty face. From her witty remarks to her heart of gold, here are fifteen ways Brooke Davis stole the show.

1. She was a hopeless romantic.

She started off as the girl who used sex as a defense mechanism, but when she finally opened her heart, we saw how enormous it was.

2. She never stopped loving, despite constantly being hurt.

Repeatedly, Brooke Davis was betrayed, heartbroken, and ridiculed. Yet, she remained strong and vibrant.

3. She was remarkably honest.

She was never afraid of expressing how she felt. Brooke Davis was always honest with her friends but, more importantly, herself.

4. She stood up for herself and others.

She never hesitated to put someone in their place. She had a backbone of steel and used it to lend strength to others.

5. She was the uncaring rich girl that ended up being the most compassionate and courageous character.

When we first met Brooke Davis, she seemed to only want two things-- popularity and boys. Quickly, she revealed her true colors, and they were bright enough to light up any room.

6. She was incredibly wise.

You could always count on Brooke Davis to bring the words of wisdom when they were needed most.

7. She defended women everywhere.

Brooke Davis was a resilient and independent female that never let people belittle her gender.

8. She delivered the best insults.

Don't mess with Brooke Davis or the people she loves-- she delivers a mighty fierce burn.

9. She was always loyal.

Despite the numerous times that her friends did her wrong, she was always there when they needed her.

10. She was incredibly strong.

Life certainly beat her down-- quite literally. Yet, she always rose above with strength and grace.

11. She was never afraid to be herself.

She never let others' opinions deter her from being herself and going after what she believed in.

12. She believed in her hopes and dreams.

She went through plenty of rough times, but she always believed she could overcome-- and she did.

13. She was proud of who she was.

It may have taken her a little while to be her true self, but when she did, she owned it.

14. She showed it is possible to overcome life's troubles.

Again, her strength was admirable. This was a girl who could have given up multiple times, but she never did.

15. She found her happily ever after.

Brooke Davis faced heartache and heartbreak repeatedly. Alas, she found her happy ending and taught us that ours is out there, too.

Whether it be overcoming life's obstacles, being a wonderful friend, or being one of the strongest female characters to grace television, Brooke Davis had a way of stealing the OTH show and our hearts.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
