15 Things You Wish You Did But Didn't, As Told By "New Girl"

College (and life) is full of a lot of what ifs and regrets. As much as we try to be better and do better, it's undeniable that we all slip up sometimes. Thought it may feel shameful, just know that everyone makes similar mistakes. It's hard making the right decisions all the time, and it's usually not possible to do so, either. So don't sweat it too much because it happens everybody all the time. Here's a list of 15 things I wish I did, but didn't, as told by "New Girl."

1. Homework on a Friday night.

2. Ate a salad instead of eating something really unhealthy.

3. Went to bed instead of watching Netflix.

4. Called your parents.

5. Did/folded your laundry when you said you would.

6. Checked the weather before leaving for class.

7. Started studying earlier.

8. Taken better notes in class instead of being lazy and writing down next to nothing.

9. Not to have napped.

10. Taken a risk to do something social.

11. Wasted food points.

12. Talked to a cute person.

13. Maintained the cleanliness of your room.

14. Followed through with your fitness plan.

15. Treat Yourself.

So this is for all the times you ate cheetos instead of an apple, napped instead of going to the gym, and lazily lounged around instead of doing anything even slightly productive. You'll undoubtedly feel guilty or bad about yourself when you find yourself with a paper, project, and four readings due the next day, but if you know you have a record of making these kinds of choices, you might as well cherish your procrastination and questionable decisions by pressing play on the next episode of whatever you're watching.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
