In 2008, Bob Boilen, host of NPR's All Songs Considered, left a concert very upset at how hard it was to hear the music over the crowded bar. He joked that he should invite the artist to perform at his desk and record it for NPR. Later that week, Boilen did just what he said and the Tiny Desk Concert Series was born. Since its inception, Boilen has had over 550 concerts recorded at his desk. I've gathered 15 of those that are absolute must sees of musical genius.

1. T-Pain

Probably the most famous Tiny Desk concert to date. T-Pain shows a completely unexpected side and kills the vocals of "Buy U a Drank".

2. Tank and the Bangas

This year's winners of the NPR Tiny Desk Contest, these New Orleans natives will have you clapping, laughing, and crying.

3. Sylvan Esso

Amelia Meath's voice. Heart eyes all over.

4. No BS! Brass Band

Crank it up to 11.

5. Gaelynn Lea

Another Tiny Desk Contest winner, you will never hear anything like her ever again.

6. Red Baraat

Their combination of music styles is only slightly more colorful than their outfits

7. Chance the Rapper

Bless up.

8. Keaton Henson

Bob Boilen has called this one of the most arresting a moving performances to grace the program.

9. Leon Bridges

What it sounds like to sing from the heart.

10. Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals

"But all my chicks cook grits," *swoon*

11. The Front Bottoms

If you're looking for lyrics only a step away from raw emotion, here it is.

12. Noname

This Chicago native is a true wordsmith.

13. The 1975

Matt Healy strips down the band's hits to show their more earnest side.

14. Aurora

Impossible not to feel every note along with her.

15. Mother Falcon

17 people being used to their fullest potential.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
