Being in a sorority requires serious time management and scheduling skills. Add classes and social functions, and things can get interesting. For new members across the nation, first semester is filled with retreats, socials and swaps. For those of you who do not know what a swap is, they are essentially mixers between the pledge classes of a sorority and a fraternity. These parties are usually themed, an hour long, and a little awkward at times. Imagine a room full of 18-year-old guys and girls dressed up as grandparents trying to make conversation and score some numbers — it's an experience. Here are the 15 thoughts sorority girls have during swaps:
1. Is everyone else dressed up as much as me?
2. I’m so glad I’m not walking to the chapter room alone.
3. Why are my sisters so cute? Why can't I look like that?
4. I think I know that guy, but I can’t be 100 percent sure..
5. Why does this feel like recruitment all over again?
6. So how long are we here?
7. I'm a little bit worried about the smell of this frat house.
8. Alright, that's the third time I've heard "Jordan Belfort" tonight.
9. I really want to get pizza, but I should probably go to this swap to find a date for social.
10. I swear I’ve been keeping Party City in business all by myself .
11. I need at least 10-15 pictures to edit before I post on Instagram.
12. Why are guys so awkward?
13. Ugh I'm gonna have to ask him where he's from.
14. I’m seriously so hungry. Is there any food in this house?
15. That guy really needs to button up his shirt.
