1. "Island in the Sun"- Weezer

Whether you’re actually on an island in the sun, or not, this song definitely makes you feel like you are right there on the beach soaking up some rays.

2. "Budapest"- George Ezra

This song recently blew up, making it a staple of the summer of 2015 and therefore, deserves a spot on this playlist.

3. "Beware the Dog"- The Griswolds

This song makes me wanna move and more often than not I give in to the temptation. In fact, I’m movin’ and groovin’ right now listening to it.

4. "Ho Hey"- The Lumineers

Or you could say ANY song by The Lumineers, but their first hit never gets old… ever.

5. "Dog Days Are Over"- Florence + the Machine

I don’t know about you, but Florence has got me wanting to run through the nearest field of flowers and what’s more summer-y than that?

6. "Put Your Records On"- Corinne Bailey Rae

This song is June through August in three minutes and 35 seconds. “Summer came like cinnamon, so sweet…”

7. "Summer Love"- Justin Timberlake

The title of the song explains itself. I was jamming to this song long before summer hit just in anticipation of the months to come.

8. "Jack & Diane"- John Cougar Mellencamp

Is there a better song that evokes the feeling of summer love than this little ditty pulled from 1982?

9. "She’s so Lovely"- Scouting For Girls

This song is refreshing and bright, and never fails to lift my mood! Perfect!

10. "Pursuit of Happiness" (Extended Steve Aoki Remix)- Kid Cudi

The remix of this popular Kid Cudi song makes it more upbeat, which is great for a summer night drive with your friends.

11. "Semi-Charmed Life"- Third-Eye Blind

I don’t know where you spent your summers, but most of mine were spent laying out at the pool with songs such as this booming through the loudspeakers.

12. "Beachin’"- Jake Owen

Although country music is not my number one, I do admit that I catch the country fever in the summer. The infectious and happy hook of this song makes it just wrong for me not to include.

13. "What’s My Age Again"- Blink-182

Super catchy and c'mon... who doesn’t like Blink-182??

14. "Changing of the Seasons"- Two Door Cinema Club

As we change from spring to summer, this song is our jam to carry us through.

15. "All Summer Long"- Kid Rock

I hope that everyone one day has an experience like the one played out in this song. Plus, the Warren Zevon rift is too cool.

I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.
