You know spring break ended when you find yourself asking, "How did a week go by so quickly?" and text your friends the exact same thing. Funny how you thought this week was going to be filled with studying, being social, and doing things you told yourself that you would do, but didn't (or maybe couldn't).
1. When you get an email from a class about the room locations and details of a test.
And you realize you barely studied and aren't even ready for it.
2. You told yourself you would study and catch up on classes but realize you underestimated how long a week is.
Yes, folks. A week is long if you actually are productive, but it's very short when all you do is procrastinate, watch Netflix and do nothing.
3. You spent all your money on food to make up for campus food and new clothes for spring.
It really is hard to keep track of money when all you do is spend it on delicious food that you couldn't eat while you were on campus. And you keep going to malls and can't resist beautiful spring clothes.
4. You keep getting notifications from worried students from a course page on Facebook.
It's called break for a reason. What could be so important that you couldn't wait to post until school started?
5. You finished your favorite series and started another show on Netflix but couldn't even start a simple assignment.
Everything is so hard when all you do is run away from your responsibilities and ignore the real world and being an adult.
6. The fact that you told your friends you'd "hang out during the break," but no one followed up.
"We have to hang out during break!" And the next time you see the person is in school.
7. You woke up at 5 p.m. and already lost motivation to do anything.
No one cares about waking up early. Not like you have any responsibilities..
8. You kept saying "I'll do it tomorrow" until it's actually the day before school starts.
Ha, yeah, right. We all know that will probably never happen.
9. You remembered you have an assignment do at 11:59 p.m. Sunday night, at 11:55 p.m.
No better feeling than realizing you had a week to do an assignment, and you did not even log in on Blackboard.
10. You spent more time playing with your pets and stuffing your face than actually socializing.
Because they somehow make everything OK.
11. You told yourself you are going to the gym but the only workout you had was clicking the next episode on Netflix.
About that summer body..
12. You realized you had an essay due the day before break and have no idea what to write about.
You know the struggle all too well if you start to paraphrase the longest quotes you can find just to fit the character limit.
13. Your professor kept emailing you to remind you about an assignment, but you just ignored it.
And you only search for it a day before break.
14. You said you would get a new spring wardrobe but the only clothes you got is a Damn Daniel starter pack, but you still look good.
Self-explanatory.
15. When you realize everything piled up in a matter of a week.
And it's actually all your fault...as always.
