1. Thanksgiving is the most universally inclusive holiday, and because of this, we can share our excitement with friends who belong to different religions.
2. Doesn't require a lot of preparation, like Halloween with planning costumes or Christmas with buying presents.
Although there is definitely more risk associated with planning a turkey dinner.
3. Break for everyone! Students and adults alike appreciate the break from school and work.
4. Football all day long (for sports lovers, which is nice, because it keeps the guys out of the kitchen.)
5. FOOD! Food until you explode/can't walk/throw up.
6. Napping as a result, which is totally acceptable on this holiday.
7. Leftovers for days, so no one has to cook.
8. Dessert of all kinds: pies, ice cream, and cake!
9. Thankfulness -- for family and friends, for all the delicious spread that was made possible by lots of contributors, for all the positive things and people in your life.
10. Family games, because who doesn't like playing dominoes and cards with your competitive uncle?
11. Seeing relatives you haven't seen in months, even years!
12. Deciding who gets to break the wishbone.
13. Scents that fill up the house and stick to your clothes.
14. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are right around the corner.
15. We are reminded about the things that really matter in life.
