15 Reasons Why You Should Stay At Home This Weekend

Sure it’s fun to go out with your squad, but being a homebody is so much more rewarding. Here’s a list of reasons for why you should ditch the party scene this weekend and kick it back at your place.

1. You won’t be judged if you don’t shower all day. Except maybe by your roommates, or maybe they’ll be right on your level.

2. You don’t have to hide how weird you actually are. Let your freak flag fly.

3. There’s no pressure to be an adult.

4. No temptation to tip the cute bartender that served you. Think about all the money you save when you aren’t out at the bar all weekend.

5. Netflix & catch up. It’s time to binge watch that series you’re behind on.

6. Dance like no one’s watching, literally. You can break out all of your freaky dance moves without receiving concerned stares from bystanders.

7. Meditating is good for the soul and the mind. You can get back in touch with yourself, or at least try to.

8. Two words: bubble baths. You will feel like a queen (or king) after one of these.

9. No one will know you downed a whole bottle of wine while re-watching "New Girl."

10. You can enjoy all of your little guilty pleasures in the safety of your home, like eating a whole carton of ice cream.

11.You can watch "Bambi" and cry you heart out without there being any witnesses around.

12. You can finally try all of those Pinterest recipes you've been pinning for five years straight and have yet to use.

13. You can catch up on all of your homework, so that when you finally do go out you won’t have any assignments looming over your head.

14. Not going out to Warehouse means you won’t have to worry about sweaty strangers butting into your personal space.

15. You won’t have to stress out about what to wear. You can even wear your polka dot onesie if you want.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
