College...it’s all about being productive, studying, working hard, learning, having fun, and partying occasionally, right? It’s either a new year, a new semester, or a new day when we wake up and we say "I am going to be so productive today and get this, and this, and this done." But, when it comes down the truth is we get lazy, procrastinate, and most importantly make excuses for not getting certain tasks done.

WARNING: BEFORE YOU READ THIS LIST BE PREPARED BECAUSE I AM PRETTY SURE YOU HAVE SAID ONE OF THESE TODAY OR RIGHT AT THIS VERY SECOND!

1. My room is a mess so I’m finally going to clean it, yet again, my mom isn’t coming to visit anytime soon and I am just so busy today so I’m just gonna wait until tomorrow...yeah right.

2. I’m going to study two weeks in advance for this midterm and final, but I am just going to forget everything and more than likely have a mental breakdown so I might as well just start like the day before or I could always just wing it.

3. I’m not going to stay up past 12 a.m., but who are you kidding, it's college. We procrastinate and don’t start our homework until 10 that night.

4. I am going to actually start to eat healthy today, or maybe tomorrow. Those pizza and french fries look so good.

5. I’m finally going to go to the gym today. Oh, no I can’t go I have a paper due tomorrow and my friends asked me to go hang out with them.

6. I am going to get up super early, shower, and look really nice today. Then you get up, you're exhausted, go back to sleep and end up wearing sweats or leggings again...MY LIFE!

7. I can’t go out this weekend I have so many assignments and tests next week, until your friends drag you out to a party with them. I mean, how can I resist?

8. The food in the cafeteria was gross today. It's very true but also just another excuse to go to WAWA.

9. I’m never going to be late to class. We all know this is not happening, especially since we all end up hitting snooze a "bagillion" times and then we are like OH NO IT’S FIVE MINUTES UNTIL CLASS...story of my life!

10. I’m going to go to the library to write that paper and finish the rest of my homework, but first I’m going to go take a nap and watch some Netflix.

11. I've got to do my laundry today. Yet again, I think I have enough clothes until tomorrow.

12. I’m not going to wear the same clothes twice in one week, LIKE EWWW! But then you procrastinate on doing laundry.

13. I can’t miss class my parents are going to kill me. Until you get up and don’t feel like going...I mean my parents aren’t here to know if I miss one class anyway.

.

15. I need to get up. I have homework to do but I also need sleep so I’m just going to go back to bed.

15. I have to go to that meeting, it’s mandatory! But then your friends convince you to hang with them instead so you lie and say you forgot.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
