The television channel Freeform has brought us so many hit television shows, including "Shadowhunters," which is about an 18-year-old girl named Clary Fray who discovers on her 18th birthday that she came from a long line of the supernatural race of shadowhunters. They are half-angel, half-human. She gets sucked into this world that her mother tried to keep secret, but in that world, she meets people who become like family to her. At the shadowhunter's New York Institute, she meets Jace, Isabelle, Alec and many others. The one thing she didn't know, though, was that becoming a part of this world would turn her mundane world upside down.
This show has some moments that can tell the story of a teenager in a single gif or picture. Not only are teen's lives complicated, but they are also dramatic to say the least, and school is not a topic teenagers want to get started on.
Here are the characters of "Shadowhunters" depicting day-to-day life for a teenager:
1. When that one teacher gets very passionate about teaching, and you have absolutely no idea what they are talking about.
2. When honors or AP teachers say, "To pass this class, you are going to need to study for 10 hours a week."
3. When your crush asks you out.
4. When the teacher asks the most complicated question in class.
5. "Let's stay in tonight and watch a movie."
6. Those questions on the test that the teacher never taught...
7. That one friend who finds out about the latest news, gossip or trends too late.
8. When you see your crush with another boy/girl.
9. When you ask your mom if you can stay out ten minutes past curfew.
10. When your friends embarrass you in public.
11. That one student who is always unprepared for class on the day of a test.
12. When you finally understand that subject in school.
13. When you see your crush anywhere, and no matter what you are doing, you stare at them.
14. When you are done with all the stress and drama, you imagine slapping it in the face.
And there you have it! There are obviously more because a teenager's life is absolute craziness and drama-filled. All this stress and drama really can drive teenagers and their parents crazy... who knew?
