Thanksgiving break is nearing, and it's time to think about what you're thankful for so you can share with the family at dinner.
1. Netflix
Where would we be without this great online device that assists us in our times of procrastination??
2. Food
Between the dining hall, late night places open on and off campus, and our stashes in our dorms, food is a detrimental part of a college students life.
3. Rate my professor
With the upcoming semester, this website has saved us from getting the harsh grader and boring lecturers.
4. Coffee
it practically fuels us and runs through our veins.
5. Mattress pads
The memory foam mattress pad your mom insisted on you having is definitely paying off after those late night study sessions and mid-day naps.
6. Laptops
Convenient to do homework on, take notes during class, and scroll through Facebook when you get bored.
7. Loans
It's a love hate relationship with Sallie Mae, but with it I'm able to get my education while digging my hole of debt.
8. Pretty campus
Having a nice view to look at while studying and walking to class is something to be thankful for.
9. Dogs
Seeing a dog on campus orwhile you're out is definitely the highlight of your day, and dogs are definitely something to be thankful for. They are just a gift from God no matter the size, shape, or breed.
10. Cancelled classes
When you wake up to an email from your professor that your 8am class or last class of the day is cancelled, it is truly the best feeling. So is going back to bed after reading the email.
11. Internet
Where would we be without any the internet?? Sure, it may not be the best on campus, but at least it's still there.
12. Double spaced papers
That 10 page paper won't seem as bad since it's double spaced! Just keep in mind that your professor could've been really mean and made it a single spaced paper.
13. Care Packages
The best things come in care packages from home!
14. Family and friends
Having your family to go home to during break and talk to on the phone when you're stressed about finals approaching quickly is lovely. They're you're biggest support group and the best people to turn to when you need it most.
There are way more things to be thankful for. You're alive, healthy, and getting a great education. Be thankful for every day you have and don't take it for granted. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving break!
