The summer not only brings tan lines and late nights with friends but also all the summer bops you end up listening to on repeat for months. Summer hits are catchy and upbeat but their lyrics are great for using as Instagram captions. Here are my top 14 favorite songs (not in any order) from the summer whose lyrics are the perfect captions for the gram.

1. "Feels"- Calvin Harris

Here's a good one for that killer selfie aimed towards the boy or girl that broke your heart over the summer. "I'm the best you had, you just be comparing me to me."

2 . "Sorry Not Sorry"- Demi Lovato

"You f****** with a savage." All I have to say for this one.

3. "Kiwi"- Harry Styles

Who would I be if I didn't put at least one (maybe 2) Harry Styles songs in my top 20 songs? I would have put his whole album but that's a bit excessive. "Hard liquor mixed with a bit of intellect." Perfect for the picture where you've obviously been drinking yet still make smart decisions.

4. "OMG"- Camilla Cabello

"Woo, my God, you look good today." This is a great song and the lyrics are about finding someone attractive so here's another option for you and your person to have that perfect caption.

5. "Silence"- Marshmello

Great lyrics for your selfie, "I'd rather be a lover than a fighter cause all my life, I've been fighting."

6. "Love Galore"- SZA

"Promise I won't cry over spilt milk." Basically showing that s*** happens and you can either cry about it or get over it and live your life to the fullest. SZA is showing us that if she can move on, so can you. SZA speaks nothing but the truth.

7. "Rollin"- Calvin Harris

"I've got millions on my mind." Could be in the context of you wanting to make millions of dollars or that you have millions of thoughts going on in your head. Either way, it makes a great caption.

8. "Carolina"- Harry Styles

"Better swim before you drown." This is one of my personal favorites on this whole list. It's deep in meaning yet light if you just read it casually, has numerous meanings, and would be great for any picture, especially one when you're in.. water.

9. "Slow Hands"- Niall Horan

"Slow hands." It's said over and over in the song and would fit almost any picture you could put on the gram.

10. "Wild Thoughts"- DJ Khalid

What's the perfect caption for the pic you take at parties with all your girls? This is it, "I'm too lit to dim down a notch." Just change the "I'm" to "we" and you're golden.

11. "There's Nothing Holding Me Back"- Shawn Mendes

"Not really into hesitation" Take these lyrics as you please, they could make for a fun and light caption.

12. "Lonely Together"- Avicii

This is a caption for those in love when writing about the other person or even a great photo with your dog because let's face it. If you have a dog (or cat) it's probably their world and you want to give them everything you can. "It's you and your world and I'm caught in the middle."

13. "Symphony"- Clean Bandit

"Life was stringin' me along then you came and you cut me loose." Here are more lyrics from a love song because what else makes a good pop song than love?

14. "Signs"- Drake

This is a perfect caption for homecoming since everyone starts drinking before they wake up, "You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning."

There were plenty of other songs I listened to over the past few months but none of their lyrics stuck out to me as much as these 14 did. I hope you can come up with a few clever photo-ops with these lyrics in mind, happy gramming!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
