I go to concerts a lot. More than most people. Over the years I've had many different experiences buying concert tickets and the stress that comes with it. There are many stages that come with the concert ticket buying experience.
1. When the tour is announced
Your favorite band just announced a tour and they're coming to your city on a weekend! Life could not be any better. Gonna snag those tickets so fast during presale!!!
2. Waking up the day tickets go on sale
Okay is it 10AM yet?
3. 10 minutes before tickets go on sale
I CAN DO THIS I CAN DO THIS I CAN DO THIS
4. 1 minute before tickets go on sale
5. When the tickets go on sale
6. When Ticketmaster can't handle traffic on its website and won't load any tickets for you.
DON'T TELL ME THERE AREN'T ANY TICKETS AVAILABLE. THIS IS PRESALE YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO SELL IT OUT. This is even worse if the concert is seated instead of general admission and the "best available" Ticketmaster can find you is in the balcony.
7. When Ticketmaster FINALLY finds you a ticket you want
THANK THE CONCERT GODS.
8. When you think you lost your ticket because you refreshed too many times.
NOOOOOOOOOOOO
9. Never mind your tickets are still there
10. Actually buying the tickets
My bank account is gonna hate me for this. When is my next pay day? Who cares, this band is worth it. I will sell my soul for this concert.
11. "Congratulations! You're going to [insert concert here]!"
HECK YEAH I AM
12. The aftermath
13. Waiting for the actual concert
14. Going to the concert
Finally. All the pain and suffering of buying these tickets ends here. I'm seeing my favorite band today.
And then the cycle repeats when another concert gets announced.
