14 Signs You're The Friend Nobody Likes

"There is one person, in every group of friends, that nobody f*cking likes.

You basically keep them there, to hate their guts.
When that person is not around the rest of your little base camp, your hobby, is cutting that person down.

Example: “Karen, is always a douchebag.”

Every group has a Karen and she is always a bag of douche.
And when she’s not around, you just look at each other and say,
“God, Karen, she’s such a douchebag!”
Until she walks up, then you’re like,

“Hey, what’s up Kar-? Kar-. What’s up Kar-?”
-Dane Cook

It’s sad, but as Dane Cook once said, there always needs to be a Karen in the group aka the friend that nobody likes and if you think there’s no Karen in your group, you're probably her.

Here are 14 signs that you're the friend nobody likes.

1. Your friends always "forget" to invite you to things and always seem to be hanging out with each other when you’re not around.

2. You never understand the inside jokes.

3. When you ask your friends to hangout they say they're busy but an hour later they're posting group pics on snap chat.

4. You're the last to know everything. And the only reason you eventually find out is because you saw it on Facebook.

5. Your friends laugh at everyone else’s jokes except for yours.

6. When you sneeze no one says "Bless you."

7. You always feel like your friends aren't really listening to you and that they are just waiting for someone else to talk.

8. Your friends always buy each other Christmas presents and birthday presents, but no one ever thinks of you. They don’t forget. It just was never on their mind to begin with.

9. You end up staying at home on Friday nights, eating Ben and Jerry’s in your pajamas and watching reruns of Grey's Anatomy, even though you know there’s a party going on.

10. The only time your friends willingly hang out with you is when you happen to be the one driving... again.

11. No one answers your texts.

12. You're constantly asking, "What are you guys talking about?"

13. At the movie theatre, you're always on the end.

14. You're always the one taking the group picture.

Parks and Recreation excitedly gathered around a laptop at a table in an office setting.

The library. Club lib. The place every college student goes when they want to try and be a productive member of society. Who better to explain your experience than Parks and Rec?

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
