Believe me when I say that if you've ever lived in Grand Rapids, Michigan you know all too well that it is unlike anywhere else in the state. It's cute, artsy, full of activities to do, but is somehow always overlooked in comparison to Detroit. The thing about living in Grand Rapids is that there are a few things that everybody who's lived here has done at some point (and if they haven't, well, they should).
1. You've experienced the mess of eating Yesterdog but know that it's well worth it.

2. You spent the majority of your teen years at Rivertown Crossings Mall.

3. You've taken prom pictures at the Blue Bridge (at least once).

4. You know well enough to avoid Meijer on a Sunday at all costs.

5. You've wanted to climb on the Calder Statue like it was monkey bars.

6. You go to the BOB but literally hate going to the BOB.

7. You prefer Hudsonville ice cream over any other brand.

8. Your winter isn't complete until you've gone ice skating at Rosa Parks circle.

9. You went to Lookout Park on a date with your boo thang.

10. Your favorite part of summer is planning day trips to Holland or Grand Haven.

11. You've taken artsy pictures in coffee shops downtown.

12. Art Prize is one of the highlights of your year.

13. Your excitement of waiting for the Movies In The Park list to come out.

14. The feeling of earning more than 200 tickets at Craig's Cruisers.
