If there's one thing I love almost as much as I love books, it would be musical theatre. There are so many reasons I could name for why I love the theatre, but the main one is that it allowed me to come out of my comfort zone when going through school, and for giving me lifelong lessons and friends. Whether you have this same love of the art of theatre or not, these are 14 musicals you need to see before you die.

1. Les Miserables

Here's the thing about equality, everyone's equal when they're dead.

2. The Phantom of the Opera

Love this musical, that's all I ask of you.

3. Cabaret

You can fall in love with Cabaret, but don't tell mama what you know.

4. Mamma Mia

You'll be the winner taking it all when you let this show bless your life.

5. Hamilton

Don't throw away your shot, be in the room where it happens.

6. Rent

Who died? My soul when I finally watched this musical.

7. Grease

We're all hopelessly devoted to this musical.

8. The Color Purple

I'm here for this musical.

9. Sweeny Todd

We all deserve to die over this musical, even you.

10. West Side Story

This one you'll remember till they cart you away, from your first cigarette, to your last dying day.

11. Guys and Dolls

This isn't just for some doll, everyone should know and love this show.

12. Cats

Once you're alone with your memory of this musical, you'll know what happiness is.

13. Wicked

Because I know this show, I have been changed for good.

14. Anything Goes

This one is easy to love, so you're in for something delightful and de-lovely.

These are just a few of the musicals I have come to know and love over the course of my life. If you didn't pick up on the puns included in this post, you should probably brush up on your knowledge of musical theatre. My love for this art will never die (another pun), which is why I think everyone should add seeing these shows to their bucket lists.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
