13 Things We Do During Finals Week Told By Parks And Rec

It's finals week. It's the end of the year, we can't wait to go home and not use our brains for the next couple of weeks/months. But between the huge amount of studying that we do, we do other weird things that we can't really explain. We do them with the simple excuse that "it's finals week." Here are 13 things that we do during finals week through the eyes of "Parks and Rec."

1. When you have to decide which final is more important. It's better to get an A and C rather than two C's right? RIGHT?

2. When you know you have all of your finals within a week, but you have no idea where to start. Or what to do. Or who you even are anymore.

3. When you still have 100 words to go on a final paper... and then another entire paper to go. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

4. When you have that one friend who tries to remind you of everything you have to do in the next week so you must avoid them at all costs.

5. When you think you know what you are talking about but then you somehow relate it to pizza. Maybe you should reread the chapter.

6. When you need to be reminded that crying is not going to get you an A.

7. When you're trying to stay cool, calm and collected right before a final.

8. Then you actually start looking at the exam and you look around at your peers for some moral support.

9. The dreaded final exam is finally over but you still have a few more.

10. But then eventually you realize you are finally free.

11. Then there comes a time for the much deserved celebrations.

12. Then at some point you end up here, but you deserve it, right? It's finals week, we know.

13. But the most important thing to do post finals week is:

Moral of the story, finals week is one of the worst in all of the land. Its only rival is mid-term week. We are tired, we are cranky, we need a nap and preferably an entire extra cheese pizza completely to ourselves (even though our bodies are saying "nooooooo"). We just want to go home and go into hibernation for about two months, but unfortunately we do not get to do that until we are on the last leg.

Remember, finals week is a marathon not a sprint. So if you are still struggling with post finals week stress, make sure you treat yo self. If you're like every other college student odds are you have about $.46 (+ or - a dollar) in your checking account; so what I'm really saying is take a nap. Take a really really long nap.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
