We all know the look. You know, the face someone makes when they’re watching one of those 30 second cooking videos on Facebook. Eyes wide, mouth open, drool slowly making its way down to their chin. It’s practically unavoidable. As soon as our Home Page opens up we are flooded with the latest trends in cooking.
First it was all about those cool rainbow sugar cookies, which we later find out come in any form imaginable. Next thing you know, Pillsbury Shape Sugar Cookies aren’t as magical anymore.
Then it was pancake art. Don’t act like it wasn’t satisfying to watch your favorite movie character come to life in the form of a pancake. I mean, who doesn’t love to eat food with Dumbledore’s face on it?
Who knows what’s next, maybe it could be your recipe going viral. Either way, here is a list of 13 things we have all thought while watching those Facebook cooking videos.
1. "Oh my goodness. Deep Dish Chocolate Chip Cookie with Brownie Crumbles Topped with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and a Chocolate Drizzle? Yep, this is definitely one I need to watch."
2. “I just ate, so this is okay. I’m not hungry, so this won’t affect me in the slightest.”
3. “Also, I just had a chocolate chip cookie yesterday, so I’m good for the next couple of days.”
4. “Here we go, sound is off. No one will ever know.”
5. “Eggs, milk, sugar and flour. Okay, okay, this seems easy enough. I can totally do this.”
6. “DEEP DISH CAST IRON SKILLET? Who the heck has one of those lying around? Not this broke college student. I barely have a microwave-safe plate.”
7. “False alarm, they said you could use a brownie pan if you didn’t have a cast iron skillet. This is still feasible, let’s keep going.”
8. “Wait, you need to make brownies too?? Who do they think I am? I’m not Barefoot Contessa! Can’t you just buy them at the store or something?”
9. **By this point, you have admitted to yourself that you are never going to make this monster of a cookie, but you decide to keep watching. Because, why not?**
