If you've grown up in a Baptist Church in Mississippi, then you have most likely heard of the week-long Christian Leadership camp called "Super Summer." It is easily one of my most favorite weeks of the entire year and friends, it's next week! Here's a little fun for those of you who are Super Summer alumni or attendees. See y'all there!

1. You count down the days until Super Summer arrives like it's Christmas.

Seriously. The day you get home from camp you've already got your countdown ready for next year.

2. You've memorized the coloring system, and to you it makes perfect sense, but to an outsider it's like a different language.

Red. Blue. Yellow. Green. Purple. But then there's Silver, Brown, Lime, Orange, Gold.

3. Your TL and your small group can truly make or break your whole experience. And if y'all get along really well, prepare yourself for another group message to be blowing up your phone.

4. You've licked the Kugel. Or at least you've touched it. I mean have you really attended Super Summer if you haven't been peer pressured into doing this at least once?

5. You understand the excitement of figuring out what you're going to wear on the first day of camp. But really, this is a big deal. I think it's low key a competition for who has the best outfit. No pressure though.

6. You've made parts of your outfit on the way to camp at least once before. Need a tutu but didn't have a chance to make one? Some shoe laces you need to put in your shoes? Glitter added to your makeup? It's okay, you've got a long bus ride to get it done.

7. You've experienced a really awkward Chick-fil-A lunch stop wearing said outfit.

Yes, I am obnoxiously decked out in purple. Yes, my youth group looks like a packet of skittles. We are going to Super Summer, duh.

8. There's nothing like checking your encouragement bag at the end of the week.

And there's nothing quite like staying up all night to be sure you write notes to everyone that you've met that week.

9. You're in bible studies all day long (literally) but it doesn’t even bother you because it's just that awesome. Even though your butt hurts from sitting in the same chair, and your belly is growling — it doesn't even matter.

10. It rains at least one day during the week.

Never fails. But hey, one year it turned into this really awesome mud-slide party

11. You create friendships that will stick with you forever, and Super Summer turns into a huge family reunion.

Leaving them at the end of the week ends in tears, but nothing can replace the feeling of being reunited again the following year.

12. Your main goal is to make it to Purple School. Trust me, once you make it to Purple it is so worth it . But when that last day of camp arrives ... you cry like a baby. Or was that just me?

13. You can't wait for the day you get to return and be a TL. We all look forward to that day when we can give back to the camp that made such a huge difference in our lives.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
