Music has the ability to completely shift our moods. If you are sad, angry or even stressed, listening to a fun and upbeat song can make you feel happy and will get you dancing in your seat. Here are 13 different songs guaranteed to get you in a better mood:

1. "Know No Better" - Major Lazer ft. Travis Scott, Camila Cabello & Quavo

Let's start off this list with a new song that just came out in 2017. This Dance/Electronic song is bound to get you up and dancing no matter what mood you are in.

2. "Can't Stop" - Red Hot Chili Peppers

Who doesn't live the Red Hot Chili Peppers? The Alternative/Indie beat of this song can make even the grumpiest of people tap their foot and sing along.

3. "Pump It" - Black Eyed Peas

Major throwback! The Pop & Hip-hop/rap styles of The Black Eyed Peas will never get old, especially this 2005 hit. "Pump it... LOUDER!!!"

4. "Heads Will Roll" - Yeah Yeah Yeahs

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are an Alternative/Indie and Rock group, but this song is definitely one to get you up and dance. The remix of this song was featured in the movie "Project X," but let's just stick to the classic. Both are fun and awesome to dance to!

5. "Mambo No. 5 (A Little Bit of...)" - Lou Bega

Do I even have to explain this one? If you've never heard this song, please do yourself a favor and listen to it now!

6. "Down" - Jay Sean ft. Lil Wayne

Another major throwback! Listening to this song will make you feel like you're at a middle school dance, which I know we all wish we were at right now instead of work.

7. "The Sweet Escape" - Gwen Stefani ft. Akon

You can never get enough of the throwbacks. Who can rap the entire refrigerator part? I can!!!

8. "It's Still Rock and Roll To Me" - Billy Joel

Billy Joel is an extremely diverse and amazing musician. If this 1980 hit doesn't make your head bob, I'll give you a dollar.

9. "Raise Your Glass" - P!nk

P!nk always tells important messages in her songs, such as self-confidence and being yourself. This song is no different, and will definitely make you dance around your room when no one's home.

10. "i" - Kendrick Lamar

This song is not typical of Kendrick Lamar, but I'm not complaining. "i" is an ultimate feel-good song and you will definitely be singing along. "I love myself!!!"

11. "Feel Good Inc." - Gorillaz

"Feel Good Inc." will most certainly make you feel good while listening to it. Although the lyrics are kind of strange, the beat of the song is unlike any other and will immediately uplift your mood.

12. "Party Rock Anthem" - LMFAO ft. Lauren Bennett & GoonRock

LMFAO has managed to create a song that people of all ages enjoy. This song is played at weddings, birthday parties, graduation parties, and even while at the gym. If this song doesn't make you want to get up and dance, maybe you should turn the volume louder.

13. "Memories" - David Guetta ft. Kid Cudi

Last but not least, my go-to feel-good song. Kid Cudi is by far my favorite artist. He is so diverse in his music and his lyrics tell stories and important messages about himself and the world. "Memories" is a Dance/Electronic song with extremely catchy lyrics that has me up and dancing every time I hear it. When I'm having a bad day, listening to this song makes me feel so much better, and I hope it will happen for you too!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
