How hard could it be taking an order and just delivering food to the table? You'd be surprised.
1. Making change for $100.
Especially if it's your first table and you don't have cash!
2. Walking up to a table and getting ignored.
That's okay you don't have to order, easier for me!
3. Separate checks.
It's really awesome when you're told AFTER you already brought one check.
4. The "signing the check" motion they give you when they're ready to pay.
This is probably the worst one. Don't wave your hands at me while I'm busy doing ten other things and you're still eating your food.
5. Seating another waitresses' table and they start saying their drink order.
As if I don't have tables of my own waiting on things still.
6. Customers asking to sit at a dirty table when every other table is clean.
Sure let me just clean that for you real quick.
7. Tables overstaying their welcome.
When I get cut, I want to leave, not wait around for you to leave. Go catch up elsewhere.
8. Holding burning hot plates and customers don't help move things around to clear space.
It's okay, I'll just die here. Ouch!
9. Hearing "Well, they did it for me last time!"
Congratulations? I don't care.
10. "I'll just have water." "Me too." "You know what? Just waters all around please."
K.
11. Naming off all of the draft beer and they order a soda.
It's okay I'm not busy or anything.
12. When they ask for a to-go box but leave it behind.
That's fine. I'll hold on to it for a hour just in case you come back and get it. Which NEVER happens.
13. Laying in bed at night and realizing you never got the ketchup for table 9.
And this stresses you out more than anything.
