13 Struggles Of Being A Female

I'm just a woman in a man's world.

Yes, I love the fact that my body was made to create life, I was born a natural nurturer, and I can withstand more pain than the average male... but boy do I have my struggles with being a woman.

Being a woman is COMPLICATED! We have to make choices. Either your outfit is on point and you put makeup on, or your hair and makeup are done but you're wearing your fat jeans today. When you're a man, you shower (5 minutes), shave (10 minutes), and pick out the shirt you're going to wear with your weekly jeans.

We as women go through a lot, that sometimes we wish we were men. But I'm here to say that even though men might not appreciate what you do/deal with every day; all fellow women out there do.

1. Periods

We're just going to get into the nitty gritty real quick. It was bound to come up on the list, might as well get it out of the way. Periods suck. We didn't ask to ovulate even though our bodies know we are barely capable of taking care of ourselves let alone another HUMAN being. So come on body- please wait until I'm emotionally and financially stable. Oh and preferably in love lol.

2. PMS

I could have grouped periods and PMS in one but as fellow women you know they are totally different struggles. Out of the two- periods and PMS- I would choose periods... hands down. I really hate feeling angry for no reason at all or crying because Netflix asked me if I was still there.

3. Shaving

This is tedious. If a man doesn't shave then he's rugged but if I miss shaving my legs it's "gross." WELL listen, it's hard enough shampooing my thick hair, washing my face, adding a hair treatment AND exfoliating. You really think I have enough time to even remember to shave? No sir re.

4. Bikini wax

Ow ow ow ow ow. Nuff' said. Really though, the only good thing about a bikini wax or a Brazilian wax is they wine you up before hand.

5. Bras

All kinds. It's time for another bra burning.

6. Getting my eyeliner to match

They don't have to be twins... just sisters... Same goes for your eyebrows.

7. Walking alone at night

I have a dog that randomly has to go potty at 1 AM and I just can't bring myself to take him out because I'm too scared. A huge struggle, sorry Han.

8. Looking "tired"

Yes, Heather. I got to sleep last night, no I did not want to wake up 2 hours early just to do my makeup.

9. Boobs

Try doing anything with boobs comfortably, seriously.

10. Painting my nails

LOL. Don't mean to brag but when I paint my left hand it looks AMAZING but when I get to my dominate hand... it's a hot mess. Don't worry, I'll stick to communications.

11. Constantly being asked when I'm going to settle down

No person from high school that I had one class with, I'm not starting a family right after college. Why can't I live the bachelorette life ten plus years after college? But I guess I'll start my application for The Bachelor now. OCCUPATION:"Professional Pet Mom"

12. Purse or no purse

It's hard to find a purse that's easy to carry yet carries everything you need to make it through everyday life. OR should you just use a wallet? No real answer, you do you.

13. Getting paid less

We are all BOSS AF, pay us like it. :)

Out of all the struggles, I'll always love being a woman.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
