Summertime is great. It's your chance to destress from your hectic schedule during the school year and just kick back, relax, and enjoy some sunshine. You get to return home and see family and friends who you've missed so much. Beach days and late night bonfires are abundant. Plus, you don't have to worry about waking up for those 8 a.m.'s.

But college kids have come to find that despite how fun and luxurious summer can be, it just doesn't compare to life on campus. So, here is a list of things college students can't wait to return to in the fall:

1. Friends

You just can't wait to see all those familiar faces you love so much!

2. College parties

Whether you party in the dorms, at the frats, or at the bars, you're just dying to get your party on once again with your college buds!

3. Freedom

Face it–being at home has its restrictions. Chores, curfews, you name it. But at school? Complete freedom.

4. The weather

Everyone knows that fall weather is the best.

5. The sports

Likewise, everyone knows football season is the best season.

6. The classes (possibly)

...okay, this one might just be me.

7. Two words: dining dollars

At college, when it comes to buying meals, it almost feels as though you're getting everything for free. Well, that's because, momentarily, everything kind of is... that is, until you have to pay back all those loans in a few short years.

8. Your college town

If you're lucky, as I am, to attend school in a very cute and populated community, you realize just how much you miss being a part of it.

9. Your favorite restaurant

@B-Side... I miss you and I'll return to you soon.

10. Clubs

I mean extracurricular activities. I miss meetings and free pizza parties. For some, you may miss your sport team, your theater group, or any other group of friends you have as a result of a common interest.

11. Decorating your dorm room (or apartment)

Tapestries, posters, frames, string lights... nothing beats finally being able to set everything up and making your room super cozy.

12. Fall fashion

Boots, sweaters, cardigans, flannels, scarves... the list goes on.

13. Having a schedule

Summer is nice and all until you find yourself bored out of your mind, wishing you had something to do other than working and sleeping. Luckily, the fall semester will be here before we know it!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
