1. The Nightmare Before Christmas

"This is Halloween". This movie is literally the epitome of all things Halloween and if you have not seen it, you are missing out.

2. Hocus Pocus

The three Sanderson sisters perectly emulate the idea of a witch trio. Somewhat of a cult classic, this movie is a Halloween staple.

3. The Addams Family

Two words: Wednesday Addams. Her goth personality and sarcastic comments make this character a Halloween icon.

4. Halloweentown (and the sequels)

If I could only watch one movie all October long, Halloweentown would be that one. Watching this movie and the sequels make me just love everything about Halloween.

5. Dark Shadows

Cool, funny, and slightly creepy. A winning combination for any Halloween movie.

6. Edward Scissorhands

Once again Johnny Depp as the main character. Clearly, Depp has a knack for acting in great Halloween themed movies.

7. Monster House

If you thought the abandoned house on the end of your street is scary, think again. This house takes the cake for scaring children.

8. Casper

Who doesn't love Casper, the Friendly Ghost?

9. Beetlejuice

Need to add a dose of creepy into your Halloween movie marathon? Then Beetlejuice is the movie for you.

10. It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

In my house, watching this movie has become a great family tradition. From Snoopy dressed as the Red Baron to the fact that Charlie Brown always gets a rock, this movie is a Halloween classic.

11. Twitches

Twin Witches?! If DCOMs are your favorite thing on the planet, Twitches is perfect way to start off your Halloween.

12. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

And once again on this list: Johnny Depp. This movie honestly screams fright, creepiness, blood, and gore. Not only is the plot great, but the music is fantastic.

13. Danny Phantom

Yes, I do realize that Danny Phantom is not a movie, but hear me out, this tv show deserves a spot on this list. I mean, Danny Phantom might be the coolest ghost hunter I've ever seen and watching this show is basically like celebrating Halloween everyday.
