With it being so late in the semester, the school stress has been turned up to a million, as well as personal life stress. Sometimes it can feel like a lot, so here are some uplifting songs to empower you.
1. "Loved and Alive" by Jim and the Povolos
This is my ultimate go-to song when I'm depressed or stressed out. It never fails to make me smile.

2. "Drive It Like You Stole It" by Sing Street.
Sing Street is one of the most underrated movies ever. It brought us some amazing 80s-inspired songs, but this one is definitely the most fun and upbeat!

3. "This Is Me" from "The Greatest Showman"
I've also written about how much I love "The Greatest Showman" before and this song is a big reason why I love it so much. It's an anthem for anyone who has been bullied or put down.

4. "Shine" by LOLO

5. "You Will Be Found" from "Dear Evan Hansen"
I've already talked about how empowering and important Dear Evan Hansen was to me in this article. And though the song has a different meaning in the context of the musical, it's still a really powerful song that has had a strong effect on Broadway fans around the world.

6. "Carry On" by fun.

7. "The Call" by Regina Spektor
I know most people think of the Narnia movie or just a sadder context when hearing this song, but if you really delve into the lyrics, I find it uplifting and hopeful.

11. "I'm Here" from "The Color Purple"
This musical is kind of brutal to its main character, but at this point in the story, she has finally found a new life for herself and accepted herself. It's a beautiful moment and the song takes you on that journey too, with the beginning being really soft, then the song building to this amazing place at the end.

12. "Let It Be" by The Beatles
This one's a classic. It's been motivating and uplifting generations and will continue to do so.

13. "With Love" by Christina Grimmie
This song makes me think of all the people that love me, which in turn makes me feel better about whatever's stressing me out, being reminded that people are there for me.
