12 Thoughts You Have While On A Hike

As much as many of us love to go hiking for experiencing nature and seeing the amazing views, we have also had our share of these thoughts:

1. So after this, we're getting food right?

Because let's be real, more exercise equals more food.

2. (First five minutes) Let's take some basic pictures to post on Instagram

Before we're sweaty and out of breath.

3. Wait are you taking the pictures or am I?

I guess we'll take turns.

4. *Awkwardly waits for friend to finish taking pictures by staring off at the view*

It's all good, just looking at that one tree for the 30th time.

5. This panoramic shot is so pretty *makes it phone wallpaper*

The view is seriously so pretty, I need to live here!

6. Woah it's high up *looks down* maybe I won't die if I roll down

*slips on the dirt surface 50 times* I think it's time to crawl.

7. Ready to burn some calories!

Gotta get my exercise in for the week.

8. *gasping for air* I think I've done enough cardio for the week (or month)

Aw man, I ran out of water.

9. So what are we exactly looking at?

Is that downtown or...?

10. Are we going the right away?

Pretty sure we didn't come this way on the way up.

11. How far are we from the car?

I think I'm ready to go home.

12. *looks at photos* I guess it wasn't so bad

Let's go again to take more photos to show how adventurous we are.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
