The holidays are upon us and these are some of the things that you experience as a single person:

1. Happy Couples

They are just. Everywhere during the holidays. It's like they like each other or something....

2. Seeing Cute Holiday Couple Pictures. EVERYWHERE.

We really just wish we could take those pictures. I mean, if we're third wheeling, we literally take the pictures.

3. Family Questions About Our Loneliness (I Mean Love Life)

Thank you, Aunt Sharron, for reminding me that "It's time for me to get out there" and that I'm a "marketable young man any girl would be lucky to date." I will be sure to hand my business card out at parties and small social gatherings.

4. Happy Couples

SO. MANY. HAPPY PEOPLE.

5. Being Offered to Third Wheel Constantly

Sure! But let me find a fellow single person to tag along because. No third wheels.

6. Watching Romantic Holiday Movies. By Yourself.

Nobody knows why the single person does this. But they do it anyway.

7. People Under the Mistletoe

This goes back to number 2. We. Wish.

8. Being the Only One Without a New Year's Kiss

We'll stick to the sparkling cider. Or Champagne. Or vomiting a little in our mouths.

9. Happy Couples

They say when you are in a relationship, you only see happy singles and when you are single you only see happy couples. They understated that last part.

10. Hanging Out With Your Dog Over Break Because You're the Only Single Friend

Who needs a relationship when you have a furry friend that can't refuse to watch a movie with you and costs no money?

11. Day Dreaming About Being in a Relationship During the Holidays

It happens to every single person, don't deny it.

12. Did I Mention, Happy Couples

The single crowd really is happy for our relationship counterparts, but that doesn't mean we can't be jealous of them. Happy Holidays to everyone, single, in a relationship or anyone in between!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
