This semester is well-underway, and that New Year's resolution you made to never miss class is fading in the distance. These next few weeks will be filled with exams and projects, as it is that time again. Somehow we have learned enough to be tested on, even though it feel likes winter break ended yesterday.

As much as you want to stay in bed and ignore the snow, you really should go to class. As someone who feels your pain, I promise that there are reasons why we all tell ourselves we aren’t going to ever skip class. Here are 12 reasons why you should get out of bed and go to class today.

1. The professor might give out extra credit

2. The walk to class is good exercise

3. You are paying tuition for class, so you may as well make your money worth it

4. You might meet the love of your life

5. You can learn something new

6. You might see a dog on your way there

7. The professor might tell you what is going to be on the next exam

8. You probably get points for attendance and you shouldn’t miss those

9. If you go today, then you can miss class later in the semester when you REALLY need to

10. There might be a pop quiz

11. You can call your parents and tell them that, yes, you did go to class today

12. You’ll get a better understanding of how to do the homework
