  1. Humans in peak condition can outrun any animal on earth in a marathon - Did you ever think that'd be possible? Wow, yeah even if I was in peak condition, I still think outrunning a cheetah in a marathon might be a little tough (source).
  2. You cannot own pets in certain cities of Iceland -Well, it looks like I won't be making a trip to Iceland anytime soon. Just think about all the pets we have: dogs, cats, birds, lizards, turtles, fishes, ect... In Iceland all of that would be gone (source).
  3. Alcohol kills more people than all illegal drugs combined -If you really think about it this ludicrous fact does make a lot of sense. Most people (Of legal Age) do drink regularly, but its not really typical for someone to do drugs regularly if even at all (source).
  4. 90% of U.S. money has traces of cocaine on it -If you have any cash in your wallet it most likely has traces of cocaine on it. This is mostly due to drug dealers using bills to snort cocaine, ....yuck (source).
  5. Lobsters are immortal if not killed by outside forces -That's right, lobsters are technically immortal. They show no signs of aging or sickness and can live without food. External forces such as other animals killing them are one of the only ways they can die (source).
  6. There are already more than 250 people cryopreserved (Frozen Alive) in hopes future technology will bring them back to life -You know what, if they have the money to do that good for them. They're clearly thinking ahead and it could end up being a good idea (source).
  7. Moaning Myrtle portrayed in the Harry Potter series was actually played by 37 year old actress -I honestly am shocked by this one. Moaning Myrtle sounded like she was 10 years old! Guess it was pretty good acting and pretty good aging (source).
  8. We take over 380 billion photos a year -Yeah I guess you could say with: Instagram, Facebook, Vine, and selfies all about this fact makes a lot of sense (source).
  9. Tupac Shakurs ashes were smoked by his closest friends -To be honest I'm a little disgusted by this one. That's a lot of dedication by some really close friends (source).
  10. Most of the time, cats only meow to communicate with humans - not other cats -Huh, interesting, I bet their asking for food (source).
  11. The song happy birthday was copyrighted up till around February of 2016-Yeah, well if people took this seriously I bet that copyrighted person would be a billionaire (source).

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
