Home Alone is by far one of the best Christmas movies ever. Here are 12 facts about the movie that you didn't know.

1. Director Chris Columbus wrote the role Kevin specifically for Macaulay Culkin. 

2. Buzz's girlfriend is actually the Art director's son made-up like a girl. 

3. Fuller is Macauley Culkin's little brother in real life- Kieran Culkin.

4. Robert De Niro turned down the role of Harry.

5. Angels with Filthy Souls is a fictional movie created only to be played in Home Alone. You can find the sequel Angels With Even Filthier Souls in Home Alone 2.



6. Marv allowed the tarantula scene to be shot only one time, he also had to pretend to scream and later do voice overs because it would have scared the spider. 

7. Elvis is alive. For those of you that believe Elvis is still kickin' there is a cameo where he allegedly appears. Do you see the man with the beard? Yep. Thats apparently the King of Rock and Roll.


10.  The scene where Marv and Harry finally catch Kevin, Harry threatens to bite his fingers off…. He actually bite Culkin, leaving a scar. 


11. The movie holds a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records-as the highest box office gross. The movie made about 533 Million in the TWELVE WEEKS it was number one.


12. The poster for the film is based on a painting called The Scream, Artist Edvard Munch.
