Everyone with a Netflix account has seen Stranger Things (and it is very, very good). It seems as though every person you talk to is obsessed with Black Mirror. And anybody and their grandmother has heard of Friends. But what happens when you finish all of the popular series that always seem to be trending on Netflix? You watch one of these 11 shows:

1. Life in Pieces

It is a rare moment when I actually laugh out loud at a TV show. Sure, I'll chuckle to myself, in my head, whenever Phoebe talks on Friends, but this show actually has me bursting out in laughter every single episode.

2. Terrace House

I love me a good reality show. Cupcake Wars? Yes. Jersey Shore? Probably. But this show is so good, and I'm not even sure why. The premise is that three guys and three girls from Japan (that's the typical number, although it fluctuates) live in a house together and pretty much see what happens. And, of course, drama ensues.

3. Freaks and Geeks

Yes, many people have heard of Freaks and Geeks. But not many people (I know, at least) have actually watched it. Therefore, it is on this list as a wake-up call. Watch it, and be sad there's only one season upon finishing it.

4. Sing Street

Now, TV shows are well and good, but sometimes you're just in the mood for a movie. And this movie is absolutely fantastic. And the music is even better. If you like good music, Irish accents, and young love this movie is for you (aka everyone).

5. Begin Again

I love Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk. And it turns out I love Mark Ruffalo as a drunk ex-large music producer. Another movie filled with super good music and an interesting storyline. You just gotta trust me on this one and watch it. Also, if that wasn't convincing enough, Adam Levine is in it.

6. Firefly

Another classic gone too soon. I'll be honest, when my dad sat me down and forced me to watch something besides Gossip Girl when I was 15, I was reluctant. But after starting this show it was hard to stop. But not too hard, considering there is only one season. Perfect for any space-loving person (again, aka everyone).

7. Parenthood

This show is the ultimate goldmine. It's funny, it's dramatic, it's lovey-dovey (but not too much), and the acting is phenomenal. There were more plot twists than I could count and it's a safe bet that pretty much anyone would enjoy this show.

8. Chewing Gum

This is another show that actually gets me laughing out loud. The characters are perfectly imperfect and it depicts real life. And that is certainly something that doesn't happen enough on the silver screen.

9. Dear White People

This show and the topics it covers are so important. Add it to your watchlist and thank me later. I think everyone living in today's society (what did I hear? Aka everyone?) should watch this show.

10. Quantico

If you're into shows like Criminal Minds and How To Get Away With Murder, this is the one for you. Action packed and mind-twisting this show is unbelievably entertaining. And just like the picture says: the FBI's top recruit became their most wanted. Don't you want to know how that happened?!

11. About A Boy

I'm sensing a theme here: I like funny shows. And why not round off this list with another one that makes me laugh so loud my sister wakes up at 1am? This show is poignant, funny, and real. 10/10 would recommend.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
