Everyone has their must watch movies for every holiday. Some love the "Halloweentown" movies around Halloween, the annual Hallmark movies around Christmas, and my family personally watched "The Sandlot" on the 4th of July, but we all have to agree that there are some movies around Christmas that just have to be watched.

Here are a few of not only my favorite Christmas movies, but also a few that are pretty hyped up by everyone annually.

1. "Home Alone"

"Home Alone" is by far one of my personal favorites any time of year. The comedic theme of the movie captures my heart every time I watch it.

2. "Home Alone 2"

Ah, the second movie... Every single one after this one is trash, but this, this is the icing on the funny bone cake. I think it's kinda funny when people get hurt, and everything about this movie involves people being injured, so I am constantly laughing. It is a perfect mix of goofy, funny, and necessarily dumb.

3. "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation"

National Lampoon has to be one of the most notorious Christmas movies due to the fact that it is so stupid. The entire concept of the movie is dumb, but the overall comedic personality of it is what makes it so good.

4. "The Nightmare Before Christmas"

Although this movie is absolutely not one of my favorites, I know many people look forward to seeing this one pop up around Halloween and Christmas. I personally don't like this one too much, but it's bearable if I watch it like... once. Forever.

5. "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer"

I. Love. This. Movie. Rudolph is such a classic and that being said, it never gets old. This movie is timeless, and I think that is why it's always so popular.

6. "How The Grinch Stole Christmas"

Okay, let's all just admit it... As we have all gotten older, we come to realize that we all relate to the Grinch in more ways than one. Plus, he doesn't hate Christmas, he hates people, and that's why I love this movie. I don't like many people, and the Grinch is literally me 24/7. #relatable

7. "Elf"

Ah, yes. Elf... Will Ferrell does an outstanding job in this comedic, heartfelt film of Buddy and his longing to be loved by his real father. He's seemingly an outcast in the beginning, but when the family he truly belongs to sees just how good he is for them, they finally begin to realize what's been missing from their humble abode.

8. "The Polar Express"

Every single thing about this movie is great. Tom Hanks, hot chocolate, the awesome adventure, and the life-changing moments that the "hero boy" experiences throughout the movie.

9. "A Christmas Story"

I have personally never seen this movie, but I've heard it's a classic 'dumb humor' movie with a basic bully/peer pressure theme.

10. "Frosty The Snowman"

Does this one really need explaining? Frosty the snowman was a jolly, happy soul.

The End.

11. "A Charlie Brown Christmas"

The true meaning of Christmas is unclear and all hope seems to be lost until Linus steps up and decides to have a word with Charlie. I don't really understand the point of this movie, but to each their own.

I really hope you all enjoyed this list, and feel free to let me know what your favorite holiday movies are. Have a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
