12 Times The Kardashians Have Empathized With Us College Students

I’ve come to realize that college students and the Kardashian's have quite a bit in common. Ok, so maybe their net worth is somewhere in the billions, and the typical college student has maybe half a chicken biscuit to their name. Despite the huge financial gap however, it seems we may have more in common with this famous family than we thought.

Their struggles are our struggles. They get us. First and foremost, they understand what its like to be really stressed out all the time. Here are 11 times the Kardashian's have understood and empathized with us college students.

1. When all the stress is piling up and you feel like you’re about to lose it, but you have to wait for the appropriate moment for an emotional breakdown.

2. Looking back as a senior on some of your outfit/beauty choices from your previous college years (we're looking at you, freshman year... that was not the right hair color, ok?)

3. When your professor says the project is a full semester long because its extremely involved, and if you wait until the last minute you will undoubtedly fail.

4. When you get to the point in your 75-minute class that you feel like you need to leave the room to go to the bathroom just to maintain your sanity, but then your professor gives you a judge-y look for leaving.

5. Finding ways to justify your horrifying college lifestyle, sleeping patterns, and diet choices.

6. When your professor emails you homework over the weekend while you’re out actually enjoying your life.

7. When you refuse to check your grades in order to avoid a panic attack/overflowing with tears.

8. When your class doesn't have an attendance policy, but you go to class anyway and feel like you have accomplished a massive feat.

9. Making extremely important decisions regarding dinner.

10. When your friends insist that you go out when you're already in bed with a movie, and then proceed to inquire about your lack of enthusiasm regarding the party.

11. When your professor unexpectedly calls on you in class and you have no idea what the answer is.

12. When you start complaining about your life and you want your friends to chime in so you can feel bonded by the overwhelming stress and frustration.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
