11 Times Bob Goff Taught Us What Love Is
Bob Goff

Bob Goff is the New York Times best selling author of Love Does. He founded the organization Restore International that has developed schools in Uganda, Iraq, Nepal, and many other countries! He is a lawyer, father, husband, and most importantly, child of God.

If you can't tell by now, I am a huge fan of Bob and the way he takes no credit for the way he loves others, but instead attributes it all back to Christ. He showed us what it meant to give your life away in your faith and to give up all the love that God gives to us and give it to others. He explains in his book that we do not need to hold on to it because Christ's love is overflowing and never ending. It's not going anywhere. Bob teaches us to share this gift in the ways you know best. The words you use can change everything. Love is so simple so simply spread it.

Here are a few instances where Bob showed us what Love is and what it looks like in our own lives and faith:

1. "I used to want to fix people, but now I just want to be with them"

2."You don't need a plan; you just need to be present "

3. "Give away love like you're made of the stuff"

4. "We're all amateurs when it comes to love. Don't be too hard on each other"

5. "Love everybody, always"

6. " I used to think that you had to be special for God to use you, but now I know you simply need to say yes"

7. "Don't save up love like you're trying to retire in it; give it away like you're made of it"

8. "We can't always see people's pain, but they can always feel our love"

9. "That's what love does- it pursues blindly, unflinchingly, and without end. When you go after something you love, you'll do anything it takes to get it, even if it costs everything "

10. "We need to make our faith our very own love story"

11. "Selfless love is always costly; fear can't afford it, pride doesn't understand it, and friends never forget it"

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
