Well, if you're one of the many people who suffer from this unfortunate ailment, then you know there are some situations that exacerbate the awkwardness. Essentially, anytime you are put into a social setting, you aren't liable for what may happen.Your friends keep telling you one day you'll be able to laugh about it. Chances are you won't, and even if you do, you'll probably laugh too hard and snort, which will make you blush, which will make you awkward. It's a vicious cycle. 1. Small Talk

Anytime you are forced to make mindless conversation, it becomes a jumble of stuttering and poorly timed questions.

2. Interviews

So, small talk plus someone is judging your overall worth as a human being. Great.

3. Flirting

4. First Dates

5. Public Speaking

Blushing, sweating, potential hyperventilating.

6. Eye Contact

Walking across campus, you wear sunglasses at all times, that way you don't accidentally make eye contact with someone. If that fails just look super engrossed in your phone.

7. Taking Photos

If you're lucky enough to take one with a smile, your smile always kinda looks like you're scared because you are. Usually, though, the camera always catches you blinking, sneezing, coughing or a combination of the three.

8. Accepting Compliments

-I like your shirt.

-Uh, thank you. You too.

9. Texting

You stress out over how to respond so much that you actually forget to respond. Now they think you are ignoring them.

10. Leaving a voicemail

Everything is going great until you have to end the message, "So um, yeah, thank you, uh, good day, bye."

11. Parties

That moment of panic when you can't find any of your friends and all you see are strangers. You have nightmares about it.
