"Stranger Things" is a Netflix original series based off of the 80s time period. Three boys are up for any adventure, as any twelve-year-old boy would be. They come across a girl in the woods as one of their best friends goes missing. Eleven comes and I can't explain the joy I had in my heart when I saw her become such an important character on the show. Eleven inspired me. Eleven is around 11-years-old and has a large role in a wonderfully done show. The show is carried by amazing characters, but specifically the kids, with wonderful acting. Eleven taught me a couple things or reminded me that is.

1. Speak your mind.

Eleven is honest. There is the fact she is some form of alien now and doesn't exactly know how to sugar coat things. Still, she is honest and speaks her mind.

2. We are capable of facing our fears.

Eleven is anxious and scared because she is surrounded by people she hasn't met before after escaping. She is powerful though and just you wait till the final episode.

3. Making friends isn't easy.

Eleven struggles during the first couple episodes to completely win the boys over.

4. Loving your friends is super important.

These friendships mean the world to her and without them the whole show wouldn't be what it is. She shows young people and adults alike that doing something for someone is super important.

5. We all have a little bit of crazy in us.

Super powers take things to a whole other level of awesomeness. Crazy doesn't explain Eleven at all because so many viewers relate to her. Or maybe we all just have a little bit of crazy.

6. Adventure is out there.

These kids take adventure to a whole other level. The reason this show has gotten so much feedback is it reminds so many of us the good 80 movies with children that are always ready for an adventure. Goonies, Sandlot and so much more.

7. Eat what you want when you want.

Fries, Eggos, you name it. She lived off of candy and leftovers throughout the whole show.

8. Make a move.

This romance makes my heart so happy. Its new, young, cute, and just sweet seeing two younger people care about each other so much.

9. Who cares what you wear.

Case in point. Short hair. Boy clothing. Older dresses. Nightgowns. Who cares? Not Eleven.

10. Support what you care about.

Need I say more?

11. Be someone that has someone's back.

Eleven for sure "comes in clutch" during plenty of episodes. I can't explain how much I love this girl.

There you have it. All of us should just become a little more like Eleven. I personally can't explain why I waited for so long to watch "Stranger Things." Jump on the bandwagon and watch the show. I pinky promise if you like thrillers, laughter, the 80s, or great acting you won't be disappointed. I know who I'm being for Halloween.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
