There are a lot of things I love in life, and my dog just happens to be one of the things I love the most.

There are some things that all dog owners know to be true when your world revolves around your fur baby.

1. Your camera roll is full of cute or funny pictures of your dog.

I'm so guilty of this. I take pictures of my dog doing absolutely anything, and I have no shame about it. I even printed some of them have had them framed. Again, I have no shame about any of it.

2. You also have countless videos of your dog... just being a dog.

I apologize sincerely to all the people I've made watch the countless videos of my dog. I realize that they probably all look the same to everyone else, but to me, each one is very unique.

3. You find yourself browsing the dog toy aisle way more than you like to admit.

Christmas time is especially what gets me here. Even though my dog has no idea why he's getting new tons toys and treats all at once, I love to buy Christmas presents for my dog just like I do for my family and friends.

4. "Dog-Friendly" places are the best places.

Even if I don't have my dog with me at these kinds of places, seeing someone else with their dog brings so much joy to my heart.

5. Your Snapchat friends probably see more of your dog than they do you.

Sorry friends, but at least my dog is a million times cuter than me. Honestly though, if my friends don't enjoy the overloads of snaps of my dog, are we actually friends?

6. You'd gladly share your food with your dog.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that hates to share my food with anyone, but I have absolutely no problem giving the last bite of my burger or my last chicken nugget to my dog. Especially when he looks at me with literal puppy dog eyes.

7. Your friends know your dog by name, and talk about it regularly with you.

My friends are always asking me about my dog, Wrangler, and about how he is. It really does mean a lot when my friends like to keep up with the things that make me happy, particularly my dog.

8. You probably refer to your dog as your "furbaby."

I always do this. My dog is practically my child, so "furbaby" or "furchild" seems to be the best way to refer to him.

9. You've made excuses not to go out just to spend time with your dog.

Sometimes after a stressful day, all I want to do is go home and see my dog. I've been known to cancel plans just so I can relax with my dog at home. I'm kinda sorry about this one, but not too sorry.

10. Being able be greeted by your dog when you get home is the best part of your day.

There's nothing like coming home to a wagging tail and a happy pup after a long day of work or classes. Knowing that theres something that loves you unconditionally waiting to greet you at the door is one of the best feelings.

11. Your dog is a part of your family.

At the end of the day, your dog is more than likely more than a pet. Your dog is a family member, and loved as much as the actual people in your family.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
