11 Songs To Add To Your February Playlist
Konstantin Dyadyun

I am well-known among my friends for obsessively creating Spotify playlists for each month or mood. I take much pride in it. Therefore, I hope to provide my insight for good vibes and get you in your feels with my current playlist.

1. "For You" (Fifty Shades Freed) - Liam Payne and Rita Ora

The Fifty Shades trilogy often presents us with a extraordinary soundtrack. Its final movie includes this track that

2. "Heaven" - Julia Michaels

A follow-up track to the Fifty Shades Freed album, Michaels' song is slower-paced and mischievous.

3. "Never Be The Same" - Camila Cabello

After Cabello released her album, this song immediately stuck out to me, and it has been my shower song ever since.

4. "I Like Me Better" - Lauv

Not a new release, but it never fails to make me happy and definitely holds spot as one of my all-time favorites.

5. "Don't Blame Me" - Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift's new album "Reputation" takes some warming up to from its listeners. However, this one and others like it are the ones you should be listening to now. Her latest single, "End Game" is finally blowing up so listen to this one ahead of the curve.

6. "New Year's Day" - Taylor Swift

In one of my top three favorites, Swift channels old T-Swizzle with this heartfelt and piano accompanied track.

7. "Hericane" - LANY

As one of my favorite bands, I recommend checking out the rest of their releases. Currently, though, I am stuck on this one currently.

8. "Take Me" - Aly & AJ

Yes, I am talking about the duo behind "Potential Breakup Song." The sisters have made their comeback in music with mature, electronic-based, mellow sound.

9. "We Find Love" - Daniel Caesar

I find that all the tracks on Caesar's "Freudian" are incredible. Since February often correlates with celebrating love, this selection is a somber tune about that connection and it's heartbreaking end.

10. "Cold Cold Man" - Saint Motel

This band is an upcoming performer at UF, and they feature upbeat songs that are made for dancing around the apartment.

11. "Morning" - Marc E. Bassy

This song about unconditional love has an upbeat melody that can be listened to at any time.

12. "This Is Me" - Keala Settle

It may be two months since "The Greatest Showman" was released, but I am still not over it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
