Last week I came up with the best 11 reasons for why it is great to come home from college for summer break. But as great as coming home is it can also be pretty bittersweet. Now that you are a couple weeks into summer break you begin to realize that the college life is actually pretty sweet… and you really miss it. So for this week I bring you the 11 saddest parts of leaving college to come home from summer break.

1. Leaving your friends

Sure it is great to be home but there is nothing quite like having your best friends right down the hallway and always having someone to hangout with.

2. Not always having someone to talk to

Because your friends are no longer right down the hall there is no direct contact with anyone to talk about your latest problems or homework or crazy professors.

3. Everything you need is no longer a five minute walk away

Now that you are home you can’t just walk five minutes to the closet Wawa for a quick coffee pick-me-up, you actually need to drive and plan out the trip.

4. Guiltful Netflix

While watching episode after episode of Netflix without a guilty conscious if great there really is nothing like the thrill of watching Netflix knowing that you have a 10 page paper due the next day.

5. You can’t go on 1 a.m. Wawa trip to get Ben and Jerry's

Not having a Wawa in your town makes 1 a.m. trips extremely difficult. Not to mention that you are the only one who is up in your house at 1 a.m.

6. Not getting care packages

There is nothing more exciting than getting that email from the mail center saying that you have a package, then realizing it is a care package from mom and dad is probably the best feeling the world. However now that you are home there are no more emails and no more packages.

7. Not having free access to a gym

Now that you are home you have to pay $10 in order to be judged by random people at Planet Fitness instead of having free access to the gym at school and just be judged by entire football team.

8. Starting your internship

Sure the first couple of days of summer break you get to sleep late and be a slob but sooner or later you have to start your internship and say goodbye to the days of being able to sleep until noon.

9. Your parents make you do the dishes

Now that you are back living at home and eating family meals your parents are able to force you to help out around the house and do the dishes. Don’t they realize no one is going to sit on that couch unless you do it?

10. You don’t really have anything to do over the weekend

The coolest weekend parties are no longer a quick walk away and it is a lot harder to stumble back to your room when the party is a couple of towns over.

11. Needing to put away all your clothes and belongs that you just packed up

And last but not least, now that you are home it is time to spend endless hours unpacking your entire life, only to again pack it all up three months.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
