It’s become an increasingly more popular thing, across college campuses especially, to host a Thanksgiving dinner with your friend group. From my personal experience Friendsgiving is almost more fun than real Thanksgiving (sorry Mom!), but here are 11 reasons why you should have a Friendsgiving!

1. It’s a reason to have a second Thanksgiving dinner.

2. Potatoes.

3. It’s an opportunity to let your friends know how much you appreciate them.

4. If you’re lucky, your friends are like family. So why skip Thanksgiving dinner with your family?

5. Who doesn’t love getting dressed up in your best Fall outfit and taking pictures with your BFFs?

6. You get a break from cafeteria food.

7. I’ll say it again, potatoes.

8. You get bragging rights if you cook a full dinner in your tiny apartment kitchen.

9. You can learn about all the traditions your friends have with their families.

10. You get to make new traditions to carry out with your friends!

11. One last time, there will be potatoes.

Even if you decide to wait until after Thanksgiving to have your Friendsgiving, I definitely suggest still having one! Get together with your friends, drink sparkling cider and eggnog and celebrate why you’re thankful to have friends like them! Cheers!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
