Every time I told someone that I was going to live with my best friend in college they said, "Don't do it, it's a big mistake!" But I can promise you that I made no mistake in choosing to live with my best friend. She made freshman year 10 times better than it would have been. Maybe that's just because she's been my best friend since kindergarten and we already practically lived together, or maybe it was because living with your best friend really is the best decision you'll ever make.
1. Sleepovers every single night.
Need I say more? What could be better than spending every night with your best friend? I'll answer that for you. Nothing.
2. You have twice the amount of clothes to choose from.
I may or may not wear her clothes more than mine. But no one has to know that but us, right?
3. On your nights where you just need to vent, you don't have to call her to come over, because she's already there.
Nothing is more comforting than knowing you'll always have a shoulder to cry on.
4. You can know for sure that you'll never leave the house looking ridiculous.
They'll be the first to call you out on how awful your outfit is. But hey, that's not so bad right? At least you know you won't be walking around looking stupid.
5. Just want to lay in bed all day? I think I know someone who will join you.
Other roommates might judge you. But if you live with your best friend, they'll be laying there right beside you.
6. You can literally never be bored.
Well, at least not alone. You always have someone to hang out with, even if that consists of lying in bed (see No. 5).
7. Even if you have an argument, you know you'll be back to normal in less than 24 hours.
8. Boy troubles? Just go home and cuddle in bed with her, it will make everything better (for now at least).
I'm not promising that she can make everything better. But I can promise you that she can either make you forget about [insert boy here] for the night at least.
9. You never have to worry about being apart from them.
If you like alone time all the time, you might want to rethink your decision of living with your best friend. You'll be together 24/7, and it's the best thing you could ever have in life.
10. You'll have a built-in confidence booster.
You know how it's your mom's job to tell you you're pretty? Well it's also your best friend's job, so you'll constantly have someone around to build your confidence when you truly need it.
