11 Reasons Chick-fil-A Should Open Sundays

The craving for Chick-fil-A on Sundays is real. Maybe it's the whole theory about wanting something you know you can’t have, or maybe God has just inherently designed our bodies to crave Chick-fil-A on Sundays. Here are 11 reasons why Chick-fil-A should open every day of the week.

1. Fulfill your Chick-fil-A craving every Sunday.

I’ll just go ahead and state the most obvious reason. Your body would thank you for finally satisfying a craving that longs to be fulfilled.

2. Chick-n-Minis in church

Picture it. It's Sunday morning, you’re sitting in a pew listening to a sermon, and what do you know? You have a box of Chick-n-Minis sitting next to you! Eating Chick-n-Minis while listening to the word of God makes church time that much sweeter.

3. An after-church hot spot

Picture it (again). It's Sunday afternoon, you just got out of church and your stomach has been rumbling all sermon. You and your friends are trying to decide on a place for lunch. How convenient! Chick-fil-A is now open on Sundays! There's no more debating, feuding or arguing, because you all come to a consensus that Chick-fil-A would be the perfect place to spend your Sunday afternoon. Way to keep the peace!

4. Never having to drive back with your head hung in shame again

It has happened to me. It has happened to you. You know the scene. You get in your car, heart full of anticipation. You drive up to an empty Chick-fil-A parking lot, and a sinking feeling forms deep inside your chest. You have forgotten that it's Sunday and have to make the long, shameful drive back home.

5. Sundays would be sweeter with Chick-fil-A Sweet Tea

Windows down, sun shining, and sweet tea in hand. Now that’s the dream.

6. Think about the cows!

If I can’t get a good chicken sandwich on Sunday, I might as well go get a hamburger.

7.Cha-ching

I don’t know how much extra money Chick-fil-A would rake in if it opened on Sundays, but I bet it would be a ton. The proceeds earned on Sundays could go to some amazing causes. More money for Chick-fil-A could potentially mean more opportunity to do good in the world.

8. Load up on your Chick-fil-A sauces for the week.

I don’t think I am the only one who has a container full of miscellaneous sauces in my refrigerator. That's Chick-fil-A, Polynesian, buttermilk ranch, buffalo and you name it. I am a strong believer that the sauce is the boss, and sauce can truly make a huge difference in any meal.

9. It's the best way to end the week.

After a long week, there is no better reward than food. Something about downing a chicken deluxe sandwich and then topping it off with a cookies and cream milkshake sounds like the perfect cherry on top of a long hard week.

10. “My Pleasure” never gets old

Something about some good ol’ Southern manners makes me feel good every time. The charm of Chick-fil-A should be available seven days a week.

11. So, Mr. Dan T. Cathy (Chick-fil-A CEO, chairman and president), if you are reading this: You know what to do.

Sincerely,

A Chick-fil-A enthusiast

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
