Let’s just start by thanking "Pitch Perfect" for giving us an unrealistic expectations of what college would be like. And maybe for Ben Platt, cause where would we be without Benji who “also happens to be super into close-up magic?”
Although, I think if any school were to be like Barden University, I would have to say Ithaca is a pretty close one. We have four a cappella groups on campus, so we’re basically Barden University. It’s fine. It’s casual.
1. Anna Kendrick.
Agreed girl. Agreed. And this is just one example of all her amazing tweets. Seriously. Go follow her on Twitter, she's amazing. Basically, she is my spirit animal.
2. Beca and Jesse.
Their relationship is basically goals. They’re both beautiful. They both sing. And they’re just all-around perfect for one another. And he supports her in everything she does, and I think that's pretty great. And they're each their own human. The goal is to basically just find a Jesse. Also, he's funny. So that's a plus.
3. Benji.
Low-key Benji is the most underrated character in that movie. And can we talk about that little stunt he pulled at the end of "Pitch Perfect 2"? Literally, he is the dream. Every one of those people had a flashlight. He is probably the sweetest guy around, and we'd all be lucky to have a Benji in our lives.
4. Fat Amy.
Simply put, this movie would be nothing without her.
5. No movie will ever be as quotable.
I’m going to out of on a limb here and say it even beats "Mean Girls." And that’s saying a lot, but it’s a real thing. Just think about all the times that instead of saying something is awkward, you can spice it up with "aca-awkward."
6. SO MUCH A CAPPELLA!
All the songs! They are (pitch) perfect. It's basically my dream. Everyone's just always singing.
7. You can watch it on repeat for a week. And not get bored. Ever.
I’m not even going to lie. I was given "Pitch Perfect" for my birthday one year, and I proceeded to watch it time after time, for probably a week. I’m a summer baby, so I had no responsibilities. Therefore, I made watching "Pitch Perfect" one of mine.
8. Mermaid Dancing.
I think this one is pretty self-explanatory.
9. Again, Anna Kendrick.
Literally, she is everything. She’s sarcastic, she’s funny and she sings. One-hundred percent, she is my girl crush.
10. And maybe, Fat Amy. Again.
Or, should I say "Fat Patricia?"
11. The Universal opening sequence is nothing without the Treble Makers.
I think we can all agree, that as soon as you hear that once, you basically expect it. And when it doesn't happen, it's kind of a let down.
