11 Reasons Phoebe Should Be Your Favorite Friend
Huff Post

Who doesn't love the show "Friends"? (If your answer is "Me, that's who," it's okay if you stop reading now). Assuming you've seen the show (or have been in the modern world in the past decade) you know how iconic it really is. Everything from "the Rachel" hairstyle to Joey's love for all things food and no things books, the TV show had a profound affect of the way we see life and relationships. Without a doubt, Phoebe brings so much to the show, and will always be my favorite Friend. Here are a few reasons why she should be your favorite too.

1. She doesn't care what people think.

Well, she doesn't really care if her friends know the truth about her. She's pretty open about who she is and what she stands for, we should all strive to be a little more like Phoebe.

2. She gave birth to the babies without asking for anything in return.

She's an amazing sister, and an amazing person in general. She never even thought about what she would gain, other than Frank and Alice's happiness.

3. Everything she does is to help people.

If her patience isn't tested trying to teach Joey French, I don't know what will.

4. She's so much more intelligent then she lets others believe

There is so much information in her head. She may play dumb with Joey, but she's super smart and often reminds us in subtle ways. She's the best kind of smart.

5. She was a vegan before vegan was a word.

Even if she still eats eggs/milk (we're not sure) she hates fur and is a vegetarian all for the animals. I'm proud of her for being aware of her place on the planet well before a lot of others.

6. She's been through so much in her life and still thinks of others' needs first.

She wanted to donate all that money to children, until others pointed out the need to put herself first for once.

7. She kicks butt when she needs to.

Have you heard the relationship advice she doles out?

8. Everything about her is her own.

If you've seen the way she dresses or the episode where she changes her name, without a doubt she is her own person.

9. She knows she's attractive.

She also will not let us forget it! Every woman deserves to feel this way about themselves, making her an amazing role model for women everywhere.

10. She doesn't let (most of) the little things get to her.

After dropping that tray so many times, she still is so proud of what she accomplished. #metaphorforlife

11. She's supportive of everyone's decisions and loves them always.

It honestly doesn't matter what her friends are doing with their lives, she wants them to always have support. She makes a point to send out good vibes and wish her friends luck with everything.

Basically we all need to be more like Phoebe Buffay. She is an amazing woman, human and friend. Be amazing, supportive and loving every day of your life, and we could all make the world a better, Phoebe-esque, place.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
