Let's rediscover our love for the Jersey Shore

11 Reasons We Miss Jersey Shore
MTV

MTV's creation of "Jersey Shore" brought reality TV to a new low. While we may never get over this group of people trashing the coast of New Jersey in six short seasons, we still tuned in every week to watch the ridiculousness unfold (because we secretly loved every minute of this brain cell draining show). So let’s take a trip down memory lane (or the streets of Seaside Heights) and rediscover our love for the Jersey Shore.

1. The Pouf

While we may have a new man bun trend, nothing can beat the debut of the pouf that changed our middle and high school hair for a solid two years. Shout out to bump-its.

2. Transportation

Shouting "cabs are here" any time we go somewhere always made for an epic start to any night.

3. The Meatballs

The OG friend goals, the modern day dumb and dumber, the meatballs; AKA Snooki and Deena....riding the hot mess express every day and we loved every minute of it.

4. Karma (Or "Kahhhmaaah" according to Pauly D).

From Ron beating up someone on the boardwalk to his dance battles and ultimately fighting with Sam, their nights out continued to amaze us both with their stupidity and their fun.

5. The Fist Pump

This move changed the dance-off game forever. Thanks Pauly and Vinny for this iconic trend in clubbing.

6. Advice

From inspirational relationship advice to threats, the advice never ended from Seaside to Miami, and even Italy. They continued to share these nuggets of wisdom despite it not making sense most times.

7. "Rahnnn Stahpp"

Ron and Sam. We love to hate them and who can't say that they don't secretly hope they end up together in the long run. But Ron, you're still traumatizing us after that letter fiasco.

8. Getting Ready 101

Their routine from GTL to t-shirt time, these guys had it figured out.

9. The Drama

Possibly the best part of the show was the petty drama. While Mike started most of it, it never failed to make us laugh.

10. The Fights

With 90 pounds of Snooki, she did some serious damage and proved to be an inspiration to short girls everywhere.

11. The Brotherhood

This ultimate bromance of Vinny and Pauly may be the reason we miss the cast the most.

Since the dreaded day of December 20, 2012; we've been in a post-Jersey Shore depression. But hey, at least Ron and Sam are back together. MTV, how about a reunion?!?!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
