This may be subjective, but Hanna and Caleb are by far the most beautiful couple on "Pretty Little Liars." I don't know about anyone else, but I feel personally victimized by Spaleb, and my emotional stability may or may not heavily rely on these two getting back together. Despite everything that they have been through individually and together, they have always survived.
1. They "get" each other.
Whenever one of them is slightly hurt, the other knows exactly what to do or say. They understand each other, even in silence.
2. Hanna saved Caleb.
Before Hanna, Caleb was homeless after leaving a negligent and financially abusive foster mother. He had absolutely nobody to turn to and nowhere to go. She took him in when everybody else warned her against it. Due to the number of people that have left Caleb in the past, he had never opened up to anyone before. Despite his trust issues, she was the first person he truly let in.
3. They never stopped loving each other.
4. Hanna's safety was the first thing Caleb thought of after years of separation.
5. The way they look at each other.
6. How Caleb talks about Hanna.
7. When Hanna stood up to his foster mom.
If it had not been for Hanna, Caleb's foster mom would have continued to take all of his money until he was 18. Not only did she stand up for him and get him what he deserved, but she didn't even disclose what she was doing. It wasn't about gratitude but about her love for him.
8. They always forgive.
While Hanna and Caleb have made some large scale mistakes, there has never been a time they were unable to move on or start over.
9. There's a constant sense of trust.
No matter how ridiculous or dangerous one of their ideas are, they pretty much always are willing to put full blind faith in one other.
10. Goodbye has never meant goodbye.
11. I watch the show for the girls' friendships.
We all hate love triangles. Hanna was unaware of Spaleb's friendship until Caleb showed up at Hanna's doorstep after years had passed by and he told her. If everybody had been honest from the beginning, Spaleb may not have developed feelings and then Hanna and Toby wouldn't have to give them their blessing. Hanna felt uncomfortable telling Spencer who she could or could not be with, so she let her friend and the person that she loved be happy at her expense. Hanna then kissed Caleb while they were together, and Spencer also cheats on Caleb. Everybody is being extremely secretive.
This storyline has complicated the friendship between Spencer and Hanna, which is one of the most important aspects of the show. I believe that Hanna and Caleb will get back together and the girls' friendships will somehow be mended. Even so, I feel that every character has been wronged which makes it difficult to love the characters we are supposed to love.
12. Hanna and Caleb are meant to be together.
All we can do now is continue to harass Marlene King on Twitter until she agrees that Haleb is endgame. Until then, we will have to cry and live off of old Haleb scenes.
